They say it doesn't happen!
They say a law is not needed!
But the Discrimination (Jersey) Law 2013 is only 66 days away!
Date: 17 July 2014
Venue: Royal Yacht Hotel, St Helier
Registration: 7.30 am.
Start: 8:00 am
Close: 9:30 am
Join Law At Work and Rossborough Insurance for a free breakfast briefing on how the new discrimination law might affect you.
Whether you are a business owner, partner, employer, self employed or a provider of goods or services, this law will make a difference in what you do.
Our panel of experts include Law At Work's Technical Director Sharon Peacock who has extensive employment relations and anti-discrimination experience, Patricia Rowan, Director of the Jersey Advisory and Conciliation Service and Malcolm Ferey, Chief Executive of Jersey Citizens Advice Bureau Limited. They will be joined by Adam Wickens, Senior Management Liability Underwriter from AXA Insurance who has first hand knowledge of the types of issues faced in the UK.
This presentation will not go into depth of what is in the new law - that has been done on numerous occasions - but it will cover: a overview of what you need to be aware of; what you need to do in practice; what you need to consider when providing goods and services; what will happen if a claim arrives on your doorstep; and how you can try and protect yourself from liability. Our panel has the experience and is equipped to provide insight into these issues and any other queries you may have.
Breakfast refreshments will be served. Spaces are limited. To register please click here to download the registration form.
If a brief overview is not enough and you want specialist insight into the discrimination law or you need an insurance health check then join us later in the day for additional sessions that will provide greater guidance and support.
