Home Recovery, Roadside Assistance and Local Recovery within the Channel Islands or Isle of Man
If your vehicle is immobilised by a breakdown, including a breakdown at your home, we will arrange for a vehicle rescue operator to spend up to one hour to try and fix it. If it cannot be fixed we will arrange for the vehicle to be taken to a local garage to be repaired at your cost.
United Kingdom and European Assistance
If your vehicle is immobilised by a breakdown in the UK or Europe (including the Channel Islands or Isle of Man part of your journey), we will arrange for a vehicle rescue operator to spend up to one hour to try and fix it. If it cannot be fixed we will arrange for the vehicle to be taken to a local garage to be repaired at your cost. It also includes:
- Delivery of replacement parts
- Alternative travel arrangements
- Emergency car hire
- Emergency accommodation
- Emergency driver
- Vehicle recovery to the Channel Islands or Isle of Man
Key Exclusions:
- DOES NOT COVER COST OF REPAIR
- Breakdown within the first 24 hours of the policy being taken out
- Labour costs of more than 1 hour
- Any costs for vehicles not properly maintained
- Recovery from snow, mud, sand or water
- No more than 2 claims from the same identified fault in 12 months
- No more than 4 claims in total in 12 months
Eligible Vehicles:
- Policyholder must be permanently resident in the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.
- Covers any private car, commercial vehicle or motorcycle which does not exceed 3500kg in gross weight, 5.1m in length, 1.95m in height and 2.1m in width.
- Only covers vehicles up to and including 15 years old.
