Lauren Gregory awarded for excellence by Guernsey Chartered Institute of Insurance
Lauren Gregory, Senior Account Handler for Rossborough Professional Risks has won the Excellence in Education award at the Guernsey Chartered Institute of Insurance Dinner 2021.
The Insurance Institute of Guernsey (IIG) has approximately 360 members and the IIG council supports education through exam support, as well as continuing professional development through development days and a programme of monthly lunch events.
Lauren qualified for chartered status (ACII) following the submission of the advanced diploma in February 2020. Lauren completed the diploma (DIP) in 16 months, with a further 16 months to achieve advanced diploma status.
The awards ceremony takes place annually, and students who have qualified in the year are enrolled in the award entry. The council choose the award winner from the pool of students by judging several factors - including merits of the student, timeliness, longevity and development of career and third-party relationships.
Commenting on her award win, Lauren said: “It’s fantastic that Rossborough are committed to the personal development of their staff – actively encouraging all of the team to up-skill to be able to offer to best and highest-quality insurance advice.
“One of the main reasons for pursuing my studies is that I wanted to challenge myself, to prove that anyone can attain the ACII, it’s important to remind oneself that you can achieve anything you set your mind to – I’m very proud of my chartered status and award win, showcasing my abilities to the industry.
“Beyond career development, there are many serious benefits to earning chartered status, and I’m very fortunate to have my achievements recognised by a professional body.”
