Rossborough celebrates winners at the Manx Hockey Association End of Season Dinner
On Saturday 13th May, we joined the Manx Hockey Association for their End of Season Dinner, bringing the local hockey community together to celebrate the season’s successes.
Taking place at The Empress Hotel in Douglas, the event recognised both teams and individual players for their achievements throughout the season. Awards included Senior Player, Goal Keeper, Young Player, Most Improved Player, Indoor Player and Umpire of Year.
The evening was a great success, with 150 members of the Manx Hockey Association family in attendance and 65 trophies presented. Also in attendance were His Excellency Lieutenant General Sir John Lorimer and Lady Lorimer.
We were very proud to attend the dinner and Ann Collins, our Managing Director in the Isle of Man, had the pleasure of presenting the winners with their trophies.
She said: “The End of Season Dinner is a highly anticipated date in the Manx Hockey Association calendar, showcasing the successes of all the teams and players and providing a wonderful evening of celebration. We were so pleased to be involved and would like to congratulate everyone who won an award.
“We have been a proud sponsor of the Manx Hockey Association for the past five years, and the 2022/23 season was our final season as a sponsor, so the dinner was a brilliant way to round off our partnership. We wish all the teams and players the best of luck for the future and look forward to seeing their continued success."
