An Excess is the amount you have to pay in the event of a claim on your insurance policy.

With Excess Protection you can claim back an excess you have to pay.

How Excess Protection Insurance Works

If you have a £500 excess on, say, your home or car insurance and you have a claim for £1000, you are liable for the first £500 of the claim and the insurance company for the remaining £500. Excess Protection Insurance will reimburse you for the £500 excess charge.
