Many Trust companies have approached us over the years to insure Property in the UK, CI and further afield, on behalf of their clients.
About 10 years ago having spoken with Trust companies and asked them what they required to make their lives easier in the insurance of property risks, we developed a facility with a major insurer to deal with this issue. This facility has now developed to the extent that many of the major banks, trust companies, lawyers, accountants and property managers with representation in the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man regard us as their "port of call" for this type of cover.
This is much more than an insurance facility whereby we have authority to go on cover on behalf of underwriters and issue their policy documentation. For example:
- We issue policies in house and have authority to bind cover up to £15m in value.
- There is a guarantee to match existing policy terms.
- Each new risk is surveyed and a copy with photograph is provided to the Trust Company.
- There is a dedicated Loss Adjuster available to handle claims 24 hours a day.
- There is access to a panel of approved contractors Nationwide which is designed to assist Trustees in securing reliable and competitive work when a property needs repair following damage.
