Valuation day with Doerr Dallas Valuations
Rossborough Private Clients has teamed up with Doerr Dallas Valuations to offer an exclusive, complimentary jewellery and watch valuations event in Guernsey.
Taking place at our newly refurbished Guernsey office on Wednesday 27th April throughout the day, the sessions will offer clients and guests a free valuation for up to three pieces of jewellery and watches.
The team from Doerr Dallas Valuations – Aurélia Turrall, jewellery specialist, and Alastair Meiklejon, watches specialist – are providing the opportunity for guests to meet with them in a private meeting room, where they are able to appraise up to three items per person.
Those who attend the valuation will receive a PDF valuation report for insurance replacement, which includes details of the piece (stone, size, metal, etc), any certificates, the certificate number, the name of the grading laboratory, photographs for identification purposes, and a value of the item.
The valuations specialists will also discuss how you would choose to replace the item in the event of a loss. Many insurers apply a ‘New for Old’ replacement clause to jewellery and watches, but Doerr Dallas Valuations ensures that, if your piece is an antique or is obsolete, their valuation reflects this. Aurélia and Alastair will also check all clasps and settings of guest’s jewellery during the appointment.
When it comes to insuring valuable personal items, the most important question is – should you suffer a loss, can you provide proof of ownership and value? In most cases, the answer is ‘no’, so a valuation can provide guests with proof of ownership and value to ensure they are correctly covered.
