Claim back your motor excess

In the event of a claim on your policy, you normally have an excess to pay toward the cost of repairing your vehicle. For example, you might have a £300 excess in which case you will pay the first £300 of a claim to repair your vehicle, with your insurer paying the remainder.

If you have a non-fault claim, then Motor Legal Protection will help to claim back your excess from the party at fault. However if you have a fault claim, you cannot reclaim your excess.

We offer an optional add-on called Excess Protection. In the event of a fault claim, Excess Protection will reimburse the excess you pay up to the value of £3,000. For more information or to add Excess Protection to your policy please call or come in and see us.
