International Women’s Day is an opportunity to recognise progress, but also to reflect on what meaningful support looks like in day-to-day business. At Gallagher, this commitment is not theoretical. It is visible in the roles women hold across the organisation, the careers they are building, and the way we support them to develop, lead and represent our business in the wider community.

Across Gallagher and Rossborough, women contribute at every level and in every discipline. From client-facing advisory and broking roles through to claims, risk management, compliance and operations, their expertise underpins the service we provide to businesses and individuals. Colleagues such as Natasha Lucock, Kim Davies, Michelle Moore, Rachel Evans, Mel Molesworth, Carly Carter, Monique Hurst, Beth Tasker, and Jo Johnson are part of a strong cohort of women in senior and leadership positions, shaping strategy, guiding teams and supporting clients through complex decisions. Their experience and judgement are central to the depth of advice our clients rely on.

We are also proud to champion women beyond our own offices. In Jersey, we have consistently supported the Jersey Finance Rising Stars awards, celebrating emerging talent within the sector. In 2024, our own Hailey Gautier won the Insurance category, followed by Abigail Mercier in 2025. Winning this award two years in a row is a real achievement for our team and reflects the calibre and commitment of the women developing their careers within our business.

Our team members have also won the Insurance Institute of the Isle of Man’s Young Achiever Award four times – for the last three years, the accolade has gone to women in our business - Beth Tasker (2024),  Jennifer Freeman (2025) and just last week, Paige McDonald (2026).

Our support extends into education and grassroots development. Through sponsorship and taking part in the LEAP programme at Jersey College for Girls, we have worked alongside students to encourage confidence, ambition and leadership skills at an early stage. It is important that young women can see clear pathways into professional careers and understand the breadth of opportunities available to them.  In the Isle of Man, our sponsorship of Vagabonds Rugby Club helps support women’s participation in sport, reinforcing our belief that opportunity and encouragement should extend beyond the workplace.

We have also been proud supporters of Team Intrepid 232, the Jersey crew who made history as the oldest all-female team to row any ocean, with a combined age of 232. Julie Brady, Helene Monpetit, Rosemary Satchwell and Alison Smithurst completed the 2,600-nautical-mile World’s Toughest Row to Antigua, raising £10,000 for the Grace Crocker Foundation and the Blue Marine Foundation.

International Women’s Day matters to us because our business is stronger when it reflects the communities we serve. The diversity of thought, experience and perspective across our teams benefits our clients and strengthens our advice.

As we mark International Women’s Day 2026, we would like to thank all the women across Gallagher and Rossborough for the professionalism, care and expertise they bring every day. We also look forward to continuing the progress that ensures opportunity, recognition and support remain part of how we operate, in practice as well as in principle.
